2 Mmmmmm.... Coffee...........

We’ve all gotten those hot cups of coffee with the sleeves on them to make it easier to hold the cups.   Though they are certainly useful and often needed, they are just a tad bit boring.  I took one and dressed it up to make giving a gift of a warm drink or gift cards for coffee shops a little cuter.   (the little blue trees are actually the print on the cup, not an embellishment added by me)

Coffee Cup Hugger

Materials:
Cricut Mini machine
Cricut Imagine machine
Cricut Snow Day cartridge (snowball thrower image)
Cricut Winter Lace cartridge (3D snowflakes, large snowflake)
Imagine Mr. Frosty cartridge (patterned paper)
Adhesives:  Helmar 450 Quick Dry, Helmar Acid Free Adhesive
Other: Cardstock (White, Blue, Black), white ribbon, 3D white paint, cup hugger

 Directions:
1.  Print patterned paper.  Open hugger by gently pulling apart at glued seam.  Adhere front of cup hugger to back of patterned paper and hand cut around entire hugger.  Readhere with Helmar 450 Quick Dry to form closed hugger again.
2.  Cut and assemble snowball thrower image with Helmar Acid Free adhesive.  Cut and assemble snowflakes.  Add white 3D paint to snow areas and allow to dry.
3.  Wrap ribbon around hugger taking ends through the center of the large snowflake & tie in a bow.  I applied a little Helmar 450 quick dry in a couple of spots behind the ribbon to keep it from slipping.
4.  Adhere image and 3D snowflakes to front of hugger, again with Helmar 450 Quick Dry.
